about

Winter was invented during last century’s mid-seventies. The cold came soon after, then precision, the collar of the coat and the rumble-sound in the empty rooms. Everything happened as a result, like a shiver. Before it looked just like a province, your same old and gray province. Now tapes had appeared and had changed everything. The titles in black marker on the side, lined up on the desk: The Cure, Sister Of Mercy, Joy Division, Echo & The Bunnymen, Jesus & Mary Chain, Young Marble Giants, Out Of Cage… You couldn’t stand still, and you haven’t stopped since then.

Be Forest’s sound is a clear and cold breath that comes from that winter. It is not a memory, not a
revival. There’s the same dark and dazzling shock that still shakes the feedback of their restless guitars,
that bounces in their dark drums, which sparkles in the icy glare of that voice. A perfectly balanced sound, between the extent of absolute cold and the full passion of their songs.

“Two girls and a boy. Guitar in a constant echo, a female voice whispered on bass and a standing drummer. All three of them standing. Beautiful scraps of light in front of the audience. Taken one by one they seem just
small path’ stones but become rocks smoothed by the waves when on stage. Like those rocks you find by the sea shore and you like them and you want to take them home but you can’t even move, you know? ”

about

We want music to never turn into something boring for us. It would mean that we have become boring. Because music does not die with mp3′s or copyright: boredom is what brings it down, when it becomes a habit. All we need is a small do-it-yourself collective, as tiny as a simple smile. ... more
