about

Here’s what I have to say: I wasn’t supposed to make another Parker Lewis-album but I couldn’t help myself. I noticed new songs where coming to me and I didn’t try to stop them. It felt a little scary though and therefore important to keep it very simple. I made some rules to keep me from falling into old habits. If I felt good, I kept going. If I felt bad, I stopped immediately. This made for a long process. I wrote lyrics and let the music and melodies be whatever came to me when I started singing the words. Sometimes this destroyed perfectly fine lyrics and those songs where discarded. A big pile of promising ideas. I don’t mourn them at all though. I wrote only in the key of E-major. I made demos and showed my friends Matilda and Erik. Then I brought them into the studio and we let the tape roll while we tried to play through the songs. The result of this session was Tass Tass. We had a very good time. I’m proud and happy. Might make another one in the future.
